HEAT IN AMERICA

The trouble the US is living today, has nothing to do with the fact that an unprepared man managed to reach the first seat of the nation. It has all to do with the fact that the nation allows it. Sank in chaos where all parties, at all scales of society, wake in the morning to beat a daily agenda framed in fear, anger and confusion in all sides, the nation drifts. Being the US the second biggest polluter of Earth, it drifts at the risk of Humanity. May a view from afar serve them all.

A nation built by courageous hearts from all walks of life and geography, pulled fifty cultures together and became rich in human and material resources. Many of Earth innovations, inventions, discoveries and frontier-braking came from that land of stripes and stars. But then, money driven, as they were once gold thirsty, the new nation, following the steps of their colonists, attached the education of its huge population to financial gains. The result, a tiny percent of it got to be highly educated, above average, while a vast rest was left in their everyday quest for a living, some did better than others, pulled by a candid mind restricted to the understanding of their very own surroundings. The equation sustained in time, reached the point when a representative of that part of the population arrived to the government white seat. Ironically, it was done through a colonial tool. Their founding fathers, intelligent, cultivated, principle-based minds, developed their independent thought within the frame of colonialism. It was their time. Therefore, they created a tool that would restrict the election of rulers to a few learned chosen, making sure basic people would not pass. In few words, the opposite to democracy. However, in a surprising turn of events, more than two hundred years after they created the tool - by it - a representative of unlearned America got the scepter to rule. But then, again, the trouble, though he may be causing many, is not the man. Unprepared people reaching position of power can and actually happen all around. The real trouble America is facing are those men and women who pretend to represent their people while holding an openly chaotic situation, only to get their own petty little gains, regardless of the harm done to their own people and, above all, to Humanity. People that are as little as their gains.

What those men and women do not see is that, while they are holding to a coin in their own backyard as the the rest of the world keeps on thriving as it should, the new and powerful strengths of nature caused by global warming are already hitting hard the American people, the same people who trusted them, closing a very dark circle of behavior. While America looks itself at the mirror to find that what they are seeing actually exist as a very real part of their nation - product of a lethal education pyramid - the planet turns none stop. Only Americans can fix their own mess, and more than money or technology, they have a precious resource: PEOPLE, people who understand community, solidarity, struggle, determination, and who believe they do have a great nation that has a responsibility with the rest of the planet. Pull up before history pulls you down. All empires have fallen from within, but different from all other cases in history, this time, what happens to the second biggest polluter of Earth, matters. American people must decide if they fall dragging the planet down with them, OR if they , all together, not as parties but as Nation of the World, recover their life, and step forward for Humanity.
