Some people think it is impossible to show....

Compation...

Playfulness...

Identification with others...

Simplicity...

Reconciliation and understanding...

Care for those who suffer...

... and for every living creature

For children and youth...

...others, just do it.

... and POSSIBLE DREAMS

The World history has had, from time to time, a dominant culture which ways penetrate other cultures and influences people´s lives.  In recent times, the United States of America has played that rol. Within their own history, however, a black president was impossible. Have him re-elected unthinkable. Some people think there are impossible things. Others... just do it.

The situation in America is, as a matter in fact, quite simple: Eight years ago, in 2008, a financial disaster called the Wall Street Crisis had drowned the entire world into the edge of an abyss. Job creation was at its lowest and the deficit at its highest. A seemingly unending war in Iraq was ongoing and their worst enemy uncaught. The automobile industry was closing and the face of the nation turned away from global warming.

Today, any observer who cares to read statistics will find this: An historic sustained job creation growth that reached number 10 million. A deficit´s fall that shrinked from number 9 to number 3. Economy growing at a pace that had not been seen in 11 years. Young soldiers back at home after a war ends, and Osama Bin Laden buried after his fall. New successful energy sources reducing dangerous oil dependence; health care made available to people in numbers 20 millions. A good number of states of the Union that already raised the minimum wage; and an entire nation showing leadership at a sustainable life.

In any country of the World those stats are good, very good and, achieved in such short period of time, an historic event. But what makes the situation double special in America is that all that was accomplished with a Congress that rejected three quarters of the bills the government presented them. Legislation that an American journalist called "the worst on modern times". Being so, the question that follows is also simple: If those stats exist today despite Congress refusing to move forward, what would those stats be should Congress push progress for all? Where would America be today? It is a simple question with a simple answer.

People may like or dislike Barack Obama, the administration, Democrats or Republicans, Senate or House, but nobody can deny - history will not - that this black and white President they have had for six years and his administration pulled the nation and its peoples from the border of an abyss to a promising, definite push forward in trying times. His administration´s deeds have served all. Doubt words? Check stats! / Silvia Davila MM, Oct 30, 2014- EarthPipol
