SILK ROUTES

The Chinese have decided to recreate the Silk Route a path that in ancient times connected three continents and spread around the World many Chinese inventions that helped build the foundations of the world´s development. It was called the Silk Route. Silk, a product that, by the time, only the Chinese produced and the rest of the world loved. It is interesting that a path that connected the world was named after a product where nature and men team up to produce a needed item that carries nature´s beauty.

The rebuilding of the route in modern times, however, raises a huge challenge. The development of Earth modern societies since the industrial revolution took nature resources to pass them through industrial processes that, in the long run, happened to be harmful to the planet and its peoples while leaving a huge amount of waste equally harmful. Therefore, the challenge of rebuilding the route now is timely and wonderful: the path will connect continents through places where nature welcomes peoples; communities thriving in sustainable environments; creative energy sources; fields growing crops to feed peoples while enhancing farmers; simple, harmonious, efficient cities and towns that welcome and host walkers to exchange products and stories, business and cultures, money and information, cooperation and respect. A Silk path that does not squeeze the planet on its making but, on the contrary, exalts its wonders and secures its ever-lasting generosity. The Chinese, their proverbial patience, care for detail and calm drive can do it. But what is more interesting of this initiative is that it can be done just as well anywhere in the World on small regions or extended continents. The Americas, Africa, Europe, Russia, the Middle East, everyone, can create a path that connects, produces and exchanges, a path where peoples get served while the planet get saved. The Chinese took the initiative but every continent can make its silk path. It is a process like the one nature does to produce the silk worm, and the one man does to fabric silk. RUTAS DE LA SEDA

Los Chinos decidieron re-crear la Ruta de la Seda, un camino que en tiempos antiguos conectaba tres continentes y que repartió por el mundo conocido entonces muchos inventos Chinos que entraron a formar parte de los cimientos del desarrollo del mundo moderno. Lo llamaron la Ruta de la Seda. Seda, un producto que entonces sólo producían los Chinos y el resto del mundo adoraba. Es interesante que un camino que conectaba los pueblos fueran bautizado con el nombre de un producto en el que la naturaleza y el hombre hacen equipo para producir un objeto necesario que lleva en sí la belleza de la naturaleza.

Reconstruir la ruta de la seda en estos tiempos modernos, sin embargo, representa un reto gigante. Para el desarrollo de las sociedades modernas desde la revolución industrial, el mundo tomó recursos de la naturaleza para pasarlos por procesos industriales que, a la larga, resultaron ser dañinos para el planeta y su gente, al tiempo que dejan un inmensa cantidad de deshechos igualmente dañinos. Por lo tanto, el reto de volver a construir la ruta es oportuno y maravilloso: un camino que conectará continentes a traves de lugares en los que la naturaleza dé la bienvenida a las gentes, comunidades trabajando en ambientes sostenibles, fuentes de energía creativas, campos sembrados para alimentar gente al tiempo que apoya a los cultivadores, ciudades y pueblos simples, armoniosos, eficientes, modernos que reciben y hospedan al caminante para intercambiar productos e historias, negocios y culturas, dinero e información, cooperación y respeto. Una ruta de la seda que durante su construcción no exprime el planeta sino, por el contrario, exalta sus maravillas y cuida su siempre presente generosidad. Los Chinos, su proverbial paciencia, cuidado con el detalle, y calma pueden hacerlo. Pero lo que resulta más interesante de esta iniciativa es que, de hecho, puede realizarse en todos los continentes. Las Américas, África, Europa, Rusia, el Medio Oriente, todos, pueden crear una ruta que conecte, produzca, intercambie, una ruta que sirva a la gente al tiempo que salva el planeta. Los Chinos tomaron la iniciativa pero cada continente puede hacer su propia ruta de la seda. Es un proceso como el que hace la naturaleza para producir el gusano de seda y como el que hace el hombre para fabricar la seda.
